HealthShare NSW rolls out more than 6,400 wireless iHealth monitoring devices to support Hospital in the Home.
Five-year agreement with Propell expands access to remote patient monitoring across NSW public health services.
HealthShare NSW has listed and orders iHealth wireless vital sign monitoring devices as part of a statewide digital uplift initiative supporting Hospital in the Home programs across Local Health Districts and Specialty Health Networks.
Under a five (5) year agreement with Propell, the Australian distributor of iHealth, Local Health Districts will have access to connected easy-to-use patient monitoring devices designed to support care at home. The rollout includes iHealth wireless blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, thermometers, scales and blood glucose monitors with consumables.
More than 11,500 iHealth devices and consumables have already been delivered with each participating hospital across NSW receiving up to 100 kits of devices as part of the initial rollout.
The iHealth devices enable patients to record their vital signs at home while enabling clinicians to monitor readings remotely, supporting earlier intervention and improved visibility of patient status outside the hospital setting.
A key advantage of iHealth is its integration with major virtual care platforms, enabling patient data to transfer directly into clincial workflows.
